Warm Up Exercises Before Playing Football

Before doing basic soccer technique exercises, it is highly recommended to do Warm Up Exercises Before with a form of stretching or often called a static warm-up. This stretch is done starting from the upper body downwards (from head to toe) or vice versa.

This static warm-up aims to prepare the muscles to do heavier work so that cramps or other muscle injuries do not occur. This static warm-up must be done correctly so that the muscles are fully stretched and to avoid injuries caused by stretching muscles that are not in accordance with the body’s proper anatomy.

Warm Up Exercises Before Playing Football

In soccer, static warm-up is done at the start of practice or after jogging. Static heating in the human body is divided into 3 parts, namely:

Static heating of the upper area (head)

Perform muscle stretching movements in the upper area, here is a description of the movements:

  • Head bend up
  • Head bend down
  • Side snap head
  • Head look sideways

Static heating of the midsection (body)

Perform muscle stretching movements in the middle area, here is a description of the movements:

  • Bend the wrist up
  • Bend your wrist down
  • Hands bend sideways
  • Hands bend back
  • Two hands straight up followed by tiptoes
  • Two arms straight to the side followed by feet shoulder width apart
  • Two hands straight ahead followed by feet shoulder width apart
  • Two hands straight down followed by feet together
  • Two hands straight back followed by feet together
  • Static heating of the lower area(feet)

Perform muscle stretching movements in the middle area, here is a description of the movements:

  • Legs bend forward
  • Side bending legs
  • Legs bend back
  • Legs straight forward
  • Legs straight sideways
  • Back straight leg
  • Middle stance
  • The middle stance of the body bends sideways
  • Facing sideways, one leg is made on the side and the other leg is behind
  • Side stance
